Global Peacebuilding in Vietnam

Partnered with Utah State University, the GCL Vietnam program will have an academic focus on what peacebuilding looks like in regions across Vietnam.

Participants can apply as a student to earn college credit at Utah State University, or can participate without earning college credit.

Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi

Day 2: Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hanoi Hilton, USAID, and visit from a professor on the Vietnam War

Day 3: Visit Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange and visit United Nations Development Program

Day 4: Transfer to Ha Long Bay & overnight on boat cruise

Day 5: Boat Cruise in Ha Long Bay & Fly to Hue

Day 6: Visit Thien Mu Pagoda, transfer to the wharf and take a traditional Dragon boat trip

Day 7: Drive to Dong Ha, visit Khe Sanh Combat Base, Con Thien Firebase, Camp Faroll, Ta Con Airfield, and Dakhrong Bridge

Day 8: Transfer to Hoi An

Day 9: Travel to Quang Nai Province for Cultural Learning Day

Day 10: Transfer to Danang and visit American University for a student exchange

Day 11: Visit War Remnants Museum, visit NGO/University

Day 12: Drive to My Tho City and take a cruise around four beautiful Islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, and Phoenix on the Tien River

Day 13: Free day for shopping

Day 14: Released from program, depart to U.S.
